Flower Basket Pattern

In early Monterey the front was a covered area called “Horn’s Shed.” Over the years there were several shops, including a grocery and even Helton’s Jewelry Shop. Inside the shed several politicans , including governors and senators spoke there. It was also a popular spot, because of the echo of the covered area for street preachers.

For several years it was Monterey Auto Supply, owned by Denver Garrett and Family. They enclosed the shed to make one big store. Purchased by the Earley family, Depot Flowers, Shoes & Gifts have been in business for a couple of years.
